Partagas cigars were launched onto the market in 1845 by Don Jaime Partagas a wealthy landowner who, at the time owned a large parcel of land in the Veulto Alba region. The factory making the cigars was opened at No.520 Industria Street in 1845 which to this day continues to produce these iconic cigars but is a major tourist attraction. A must see if you are ever in Havana.
Partagas is made up of several lines which are named in an alphabet series. Over the years The Partagas Series P, E and D have been added to the original line. A further series of maduro cigars is also being added to compliment the range
Partagas cigars have a rich, powerful, complex profile derived from a selection of filler and binder tobacco’s grown in the Veulta Alba zone. The unmistakeable richness of flavour and aroma is fully expressed in the iconic Partagas Series D No.4 which many consider to be the definitive robusto.
